Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Surgical Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, often from specialized service lines like cardiac, orthopedic, or critical care, continuously building your education and experience.Every day you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, manage complex care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, adapting to rapidly changing needs in a fast-paced environment.

- Facilitates, communicates, and collaborates with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
- Provides assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients from adolescent to geriatric.
- Assists with managing patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff.
- Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Job Requirements
Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Two (2) years RN Med/Surg experience.
- Registered Nurse: NV
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC-Nat'l
- Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
