The Nurse Practitioner (NP) in oncology is a master’s prepared nurse with specialty preparation in oncology. The clinical practice of this provider is based on the standards of care from various nursing and medical organizations, including ANA, ONS, NAACOG and the ASCCP. The NP provides comprehensive care for patients.
