Job Description

The Avery Dennison Seattle Finishing Center, located in Kent, WA, is looking for an Operations Site Team Manager who will report to the Regional DC Leader-Western Region. The Operations Site Team Manager position will have direct reports, performance review, and disciplinary responsibility. With oversight from the Finishing Center Manager, this position will provide leadership and direction for all Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity and Cost Reduction objectives and goals within the facility while meeting internal and external customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

This is an on-site position located in Kent, WA. Key responsibilities include:

  • Practice all health and safety procedures and promote safety as a fundamental value, leading the safe operation of the facility including 5S activities, housekeeping, recycling program, and compliance with legal, legislative, and corporate safety requirements.

  • Commit to results and operational effectiveness in quality, service, safety, employee relations climate, inventory, and organizational development while assisting with management of operational expenses and driving continuous cost reduction.

  • Lead all aspects of the daily work schedules of warehouse employees involved in shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, packing, and palletizing finished products.

  • Perform general management duties concerning staff, exercising authority regarding performance appraisals, promotions, training, development, personnel needs, and talent attraction/retention.

  • Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals while modeling and promoting the Corporation's Code of Business Conduct, Ethics, and Values.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field is a plus.

  • 7+ years of successful Operational experience, with at least some team management experience.

  • Solid understanding of modern manufacturing, material flow, and improvement strategies (e.g., ELS) with the ability to integrate those into the operation.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading, managing, mentoring, and developing individuals and teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, relationship building, organizational, and project management skills.

Additional Information

Pay Transparency:

The salary range for this position is $96,000 - $140,000 / year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
