About this role

Intro: Looking for an Optical Hardware Engineer in Kuala Lumpur. Take charge of custom R&D and hardware design for global fiber networks (GPON/XGS-PON). Must have experience with optical transceivers and validation. Hybrid 3-day office setup.

About you
-Experience as: Optical Design Engineer, Optoelectronics Hardware Engineer, Fiber Access Engineer, or Transceiver Validation Specialist.

What you will do
-Own BOSA-on-Board (BOB) hardware design, validation, and calibration.
-Author master verification plans and official optical validation compliance reports.
-Partner with global component chip vendors to align technical packaging details.
-Execute deep-dive failure analysis on optical and high-speed electronic circuits.

Experience you need
-5+ years of hardware experience with GPON, XGS-PON, or optical transceivers.
-Direct experience with 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps optical layouts (25Gbps is preferred).
-Mastery of optical lab equipment including DCA, BERT, and eye-diagram tools.

Work Arrangement / Benefits:
-Hybrid: 3 days a week in office / 2 days home.
-KL City (LRT / KTM accessible)
-Contract: 2-year extendable contract.
