About this role

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases across on-premise infrastructure and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and cloud database services.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database environments
  • Manage database instances in on-premise and cloud (OCI / AWS / Azure)
  • Perform backup and recovery using RMAN
  • Monitor database performance and tune queries for optimization
  • Implement and manage High Availability (HA) solutions (RAC, Data Guard)
  • Ensure database security, patching, and compliance
  • Handle database migrations (on-prem → cloud)
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide 24/7 support when required
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting / tools
  • Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams

🛠️ Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c/21c)
  • Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • RMAN (backup & recovery)
    • Data Guard / RAC
    • Performance tuning (AWR, ASH reports)
  • Good knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
  • Experience with cloud platforms:
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
    • AWS RDS / Azure DB (good to have)
  • Understanding of networking, storage, and infrastructure concepts
