The Outsourcing Assembly Lead represents a strategic initiative to deliver assembled equipment from 3rd Party Assemblers for water treatment projects. The position will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery scope on water treatment projects, managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Outsourcing Assembly Lead will be responsible for leading the outsourcing activities from bid to delivery for water treatment projects. This role manages 3rd party supplier performance, oversees supplier activities, ensures quality and safety compliance, and coordinates with the project team to deliver projects on time and within budget. The Outsourcing Assembly Lead will work closely with the Project Manager, SPL, SQE and design teams to ensure successful project execution while maintaining strong supplier relationships and managing project risks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage 3rd Party Outsourcing activities for assembled equipment scope on assigned projects.
  • Oversee, supervise, and coach execution team members assigned to outsource projects and administration of contracts with suppliers
  • Observe and review projects during execution, monitoring conformance with plans, specifications, design standards, and applicable codes and regulations
  • Monitor the progress of Outsource assembly  activities, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality standards are met; track and report on project metrics
  • Review requests for change orders from suppliers and ensure all documentation is in place to support payable requirements.
  • Communicate with and make recommendations to the Project Manager, and design team to resolve assembly issues and manage change orders.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, on assembly best practices
  • Monitor contract administration during bid review, RFI/RFQ responses, to ensure scope and schedule is maintained and to minimize change orders.
  • Coordinate quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects.
  • Manage contractor performance, including compliance with contract terms, schedule adherence, quality standards, and safety requirements
  • Coordinate with EHS and QA/QC functional teams to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
  • Develop and implement project management plans for, establishing goals and objectives for unique and complex installations
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and project stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing mechanical and electrical assembly on water treatment or similar industrial projects
  • Demonstrated experience with supplier management and oversight
  • Strong understanding of supplier contracts and project administration
  • Fluency in English language
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to supplier sites

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with fabricated and assembled skids.
  • General understanding of water treatment technologies and customer industries
  • Experience with SAP

Additional Information

  • Travel estimated at 10-15%, including site visits and project locations
  • Work on active construction sites and supplier locations with exposure to industrial environments
  • Potential for working outside standard business hours or during weekends as required by project schedules
  • Physical ability to navigate construction sites, suppliers locations and inspect work in progress
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions
