About this role
Signs and Lines By Stretch is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Time Fabricator to join our Signs & Lines production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and preparation of road signs, pavement markings, and other traffic-related signage materials. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring quality and timely delivery for our clients, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency during off-peak hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Fabricate and assemble signs according to work orders, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare and cut materials such as aluminum, vinyl, reflective sheeting, and thermoplastic.
- Operate machinery including plotters, laminators, CNC routers, and screen printers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly used and stored.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure signs meet regulatory standards (e.g., MUTCD, DOT).
- Package and label completed items for shipment or installation.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, including use of PPE and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Document production activities and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize urgent jobs and meet production deadlines.
- Previous experience in sign fabrication, screen printing, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and safety instructions.
- Comfortable working independently on night shifts in a fast-paced production setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills; experience with production software is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
