About this role

We are seeking a Performance Content Editor for our client — a fast-growing e-commerce brand selling premium, purpose-built products across Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Shopify.

This is a conversion-focused role, not a brand-awareness one. You'll take raw UGC footage and existing brand assets and sharpen them into content built to perform — clicks, swipes, sales.

📌 Key Responsibilities

Video Content — TikTok & Meta Ads

  • Edit raw UGC clips into short-form ad creatives for TikTok (9:16) and Meta (feed, story, reel).

  • Cut for hook-first structure — the first 2–3 seconds need to stop the scroll.

  • Add captions, subtitles, and text overlays that reinforce the message.

  • Deliver multiple cuts per asset (different hooks, different CTAs) to enable rapid testing.

  • Maintain a consistent brand tone across every edit — premium, confident, direct.

  • Light motion graphics (transitions, animated text, simple callouts) is a plus.

Static Ads — Meta

  • Create static ad creatives in Photoshop, Canva, or equivalent for Meta feed and story placements.

  • Build and iterate on ad formats: product-forward, benefit-focused, social proof.

  • Write or refine short ad copy and CTAs that fit the brand voice.

  • Produce clean, test-ready assets at correct platform specs.

Amazon Assets (nice-to-have area, not core)

  • Edit existing listing images (main images, lifestyle shots, infographics) to improve clarity and conversion.

  • Update and maintain A+ Content modules with current product positioning and visuals.

Also In Scope

  • File organization — assets named, versioned, and organized.

  • Basic copywriting — punchy headlines/CTAs without needing a copywriter every time.

⚡ Requirements

  • 2+ years editing short-form video for paid social (TikTok and/or Meta ads — not just organic).

  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in Photoshop and/or Canva for static ad creation.

  • Strong understanding of direct-response creative principles — hooks, CTAs, pacing.

  • Proven experience producing multiple variations of the same asset for testing (different hooks/CTAs/angles).

  • Ability to work confidently with raw UGC and turn it into polished, performance-focused ads.

  • Reliable, self-managed, clear communicator on timelines.

✅ Nice-to-Have

  • Amazon listing imagery / A+ Content experience.

  • Light motion graphics (After Effects, CapCut effects, animated overlays).

  • E-commerce/DTC background; familiarity with performance metrics (CTR, CPA).

📄 Portfolio Note

Priority given to candidates who can show actual paid ad creatives and explain how they used performance data to iterate — not just showcase reels.
