Under the supervision of a pharmacist, fills medication orders, pre-packages, compounds pharmaceuticals, refills stock supplies, delivers medication and performs various clerical duties as requiredHow you grow, learn and thrive matters here.

Responsibilities:
- Meets and demonstrates competency in all Pharmacy Technician I requirements.
- Successfully completes required training and maintains competency in one or more of the following areas:
- Sterile medication preparation
- Pediatric sterile and nonsterile medication preparation
- Controlled substance inventory, distribution, and disposal
- Ensures compliance with the department’s Controlled Substances Compliance Plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB
- Or, Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA
- Specialized, short-term training in the areas of pharmacy law, practice standards, terminology, pharmacy math, drug preparation, dosage forms, and trade/generic names.
- Successful completion of PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency
- At least one year of experience in pharmacy or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
