Position Details:

 

Echo NDE is currently seeking a Phased Array Technician to support our PLI division across Western Canada and the United States.

 

If you have strong code-based inspection experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced field environment, this is a great opportunity to be part of high-quality inspection work across critical assets.

 

Responsibilities

  • Locate, identify, and interpret pipeline flaws utilizing various NDE inspection methods.
  • Ability to perform various examinations on live natural gas or liquid pipelines.
  • Review of pipeline integrity inspection report, including assisting other pipeline integrity technicians with reporting.
  • Perform Phased Array (PAUT) on inspections of piping long seams, girth welds on piping and related equipment. 
  • Execute inspections in accordance with ASME codes and standards.
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection data with accuracy and integrity.
  • Work collaboratively with field crews and project teams.

Requirements

  • CGSB Ultrasonic Testing (UTII) certificate.
  • CGSB Magnetic Particle Testing (MTII) certificate.
  • PCN PAUT Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the pipeline industry and, more specifically, pipeline integrity inspections required.
  • Ability to manage and organize large and varied amounts of data.
  • Possess good analytical skills, detail oriented.
  • Be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (English).
  • Be able to pass a vision and color detection test.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license minimum (class 5) with a clean driving record.
  • Able to work well within a team environment.
