SSCertified Trained Phlebotomist or COVID Sample Collector
A Phlebotomist is responsible for providing efficient and friendly customer service while collecting blood samples. Phlebotomists' must also be knowledgable in basic laboratory and safety protocols.
Expected Duties:

Be able to explain blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process
Collect blood samples from patients (venipuncture)
Practice proper patient identification
Label vials with patient names and dates
Decipher the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient
Process any and all samples
Expect to work with a large number of patients varying in age and health status
Be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients
Keep your phlebotomy cart or station well-organized at all times
Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment
Perform CLIA waived tests accurately and efficiently
Perform ECG analysis'
Help nervous or frightened patients remain calm during blood draw
Skills and Qualifications
A valid in date Phlebotomy certification (AMT, ASCP) (optional)
Ability to successfully draw blood from patients with minimal or no complications
Empathy and interpersonal skills for working with patients
Detail-oriented and committed to ensuring patient confidentiality
Excellent motor skills and the ability to stand for long periods of time
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Data entry and computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to walk 2 flights of stairs throughout the day
