Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical well-being so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
Every day, you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes functional goals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team based on the patient's rehabilitation potential.
- Provides patient/family/Care Partner/caregiver education, initiating as soon as feasible after admission. Works to ensure transfer of knowledge using a variety of techniques (i.e., teach-back, demonstration, video, written handouts).
- Establishes and follows patient precautions. Observes patients' responses to treatment and reports unusual occurrences. Follows hand-off guidelines.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- A graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy holding a Baccalaureate Degree or higher is required.
- Current California Physical Therapy licensure required (PTL)
- Recent graduates who are board-eligible will be considered for provisional appointments.
- New applicants must present documentation of continuing education or experience. Upon annual appraisal must demonstrate participation in external continuing education.
- Current CPR (AHA BLS)
- Fire Safety card required. (must obtain 90 days from start date)
