CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is a 25 bed critical access hospital with a Level V Emergency Department that is available 24 hours a day. Our hospital has been committed to providing patients quality medical treatment in the Turtle Lake area and surrounding communities since 1952. Through the years, the hospital has sought to continually upgrade the quality and numbers of services it provides. The hospital's affiliation with major medical centers and health care agencies has allowed it to expand its health care services through a network that begins at the local level. CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is equipped with 2 emergency rooms, on-site lab, radiology, CT and physical therapy services. Our patients have access to 24/7 emergency care, swing-bed programs, and acute care services.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide physical therapy services under the direction of the physical therapist. Every day you will help patients reach their maximum performance while learning to live within their capabilities. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, excellent customer service, contributing to a positive patient care experience.
- Rehabilitation Expertise: Skilfully executes and progresses rehabilitation programs, and effectively designs/communicates home programs under PT supervision
- Exceptional Patient Care: Welcomes patients warmly, shows genuine concern and compassion, provides verbal/non-verbal encouragement, and manages challenging patient interactions effectively
- Efficient Workload Management: Utilizes time and support personnel efficiently, optimizes personal efficiency during heavy workloads, and completes projects/duties on time
- Proactive & Collaborative: Demonstrates willingness to work extended hours as needed, teaches in-service classes, and actively assists coworkers
- Accurate Documentation & Billing: Produces timely, complete, and accurate patient notes, discharge forms, and treatment instructions, ensuring accurate billing for services and supplies
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Builds positive relationships with colleagues and providers, fosters workplace positivity, effectively resolves conflicts, and maintains a consistently positive attitude

- Graduate of an approved or credentialed Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of North DakotaΒ
- Ability to complete all duties required of a PTA including charting and documentation
