About this role

GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, and welding piping systems used in hydraulic applications. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

 Compensation:

$18.00 - $32.00/hr

Essential Functions:

·         Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine piping layouts.

·         Fabricate piping from blueprints and coordinate tig welding operations.

·         Install piping for hydraulic machines.

·         Ensures quality procedures are met per engineering specifications.

·         Has experience in MTE tig welding.

·         Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.

·         Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.

·         Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

·         Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience is preferred.

·         Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in an industrial or commercial setting.

·         Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.

·         Knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation methods.

·         Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

·         Welding certification

·         Experience with high-pressure or specialty piping systems.

·         Familiarity with industrial safety standards and procedures.

Education Requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent or GED required

·         Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required walk on concrete floors and stand for extended periods of time. In addition, there are times that the work is sedentary requiring the ability to sit at a computer or workstation to evaluate data. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms; lift push or pull objects up to 50 pounds. Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

This job operates in a professional industrial environment that includes operating in manufacturing areas that are not climate controlled and in office areas. This role routinely involves standard office equipment and the ability to use a smart phone. The noise level in the work environment can be above normal levels requiring hearing protection. You will be exposed to fluctuation in temperatures.
