Job Description:

Job Summary**

Fabricas Monterrey, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a highly motivated Plant Engineering Intern to support our engineering team in optimizing plant operations and processes. This role offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, contributing to efficiency improvements and problem-solving initiatives.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist plant engineers with the design, analysis, and implementation of process improvements.
* Conduct data collection and analysis to identify areas for operational optimization, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and production flow.
* Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting equipment issues and developing preventative maintenance schedules.
* Participate in project planning, execution, and monitoring related to plant upgrades or new installations.
* Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation of engineering projects and findings.
* Collaborate with various departments, including production, quality control, and safety, to ensure seamless project integration.
* Learn and apply industry best practices and safety regulations within a manufacturing setting.

Job Qualifications**

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
