The Role

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Plant Production Operator is responsible to ensure the timely manufacture of animal feed and ingredients.  This role involves shift work and manual labor in indoor and outdoor settings (training provided). Feed mill production experience is considered an asset but is not required.  We seek people who will bring a collaborative approach, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and focus on quality to work with them every day.  


Primary Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Accurate manufacturing, packaging, and labeling of feed; monitoring of automated mill software
  • Adhere to production and delivery schedules 
  • Inspection, sampling, and receiving of inbound bulk, bagged, and toted ingredients 
  • Loadout of product onto outbound bulk/bag trucks 
  • Weighing of inbound/outbound trucks 
  • Complete preventative maintenance on equipment as directed; assist in repair and maintenance projects as required 
  • Proactively maintain facility cleanliness 
  • Exemplify the core values of More Than Just Feed 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include

  • Feed mill production experience is considered an asset but is not required
  • Forklift certification is considered an asset but is not required 
  • WHMIS 2015 certification is considered an asset but is not required 
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications
