Role- Software Engineer- BI

Experience: 4+ Years


Location: Remote (Morning EST Overlap Required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Write and optimize DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL queries.
  • Build efficient data models using star schema.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting requests from business users.
  • Document KPIs, report logic, and support data governance.
  • Support on-premises to cloud reporting migration.
  • Ensure reporting continuity and meet SLAs.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on Power BI development.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
  • Good understanding of data modeling, star schema, relationships, measures, and calculated columns.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple reporting requests.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Merchandising.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or cloud migration projects.
  • Knowledge of data governance, KPI standardization, or AI-driven BI tools such as ThoughtSpot.
