Barbaricum is seeking an Radio Frequency Engineer III to directly support the anticipated Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division, Model Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM). Code MXM's mission is mission engineering analysis and assessment of complex Naval, DoD, and joint kill chains โ€” with a specialized focus on Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) enabled analysis. As a Radio Frequency Engineer III, you will apply radio frequency engineering expertise in support of Code MXM's EMSO modeling, simulation, and electromagnetic analysis. You will contribute RF domain depth to the team's characterization and assessment of EW systems and their operational environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply radio frequency engineering across EMSO modeling, simulation, and analysis tasking.
  • Support characterization of RF propagation and analysis of EW systems and operational environments.
  • Contribute RF communications systems engineering and integration expertise as tasked.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required.
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
  • 10 years of professional experience with radio frequency engineering.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of RF devices and/or systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, amplifiers, and other RF components.
  • Knowledge of RF communications systems engineering and/or integration.
