Position Summary 
Responsible for building and managing strategic supplier partnerships to support operational continuity, improve supplier performance, and ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services. Serves as a key cross-functional partner to purchasing, planning, receiving, and logistics teams, driving issue resolution, order execution, and procurement accuracy while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, mitigate risk, and strengthen supply chain performance.


Key Responsibilities 
•    Manage supplier communication for open orders, delivery dates, confirmations, and issue resolution
•    Build strong supplier relationships through consistent follow-up and professional communication
•    Expedite purchase orders and identify delayed, at-risk, or short-shipped items
•    Track supplier performance, including on-time delivery, responsiveness, and order accuracy
•    Own resolution of supplier issues related to late shipments, discrepancies, quality concerns, and incomplete deliveries
•    Coordinate inbound logistics, including shipment tracking, freight updates, and delivery confirmations
•    Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, confirmations, receipts, shipping documents, and supplier correspondence
•    Perform clerical and administrative tasks supporting purchasing, logistics, and supply chain teams
•    Update ERP and procurement systems with order, shipment, and delivery information
•    Prepare reports on open orders, overdue items, shipment status, and supplier performance
•    Help ensure timely delivery of materials needed for operations and customer commitments
•    Coordinate with planning, inventory, engineering, quality, receiving, and accounting teams to support operational needs
•    Resolve invoice discrepancies, shipment issues, and purchase order variances with suppliers and internal stakeholders
•    Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline procurement processes, improve supplier performance, reduce lead times, and increase efficiency.


Qualifications 
•    1–3 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or materials support
•    Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
•    Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
•    Ability to work effectively with suppliers, freight providers, and internal teams
•    Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
•    Ability to read and interpret basic technical documents such as purchase specifications, drawings, or material requirements
•    Basic understanding of inventory control, purchasing, and materials planning
•    Understanding of lead times, long-lead items, and supply risk for engineered parts
•    Fluency in spoken and written English is required
Preferred Skills 
•    Experience expediting orders in a manufacturing or industrial environment
•    Familiarity with logistics coordination, shipping documents, and freight tracking
•    Experience monitoring supplier performance and driving follow-up action
•     Exposure to engineering change management, material traceability, or quality documentation
•    Knowledge of quality requirements, certifications, and traceability documents
•    Ability to support technically complex purchased items or custom components
