[About the role]

Own the UX architecture, design system, and visual identity for a gamer-native commerce and payments product. You'll navigate fintech-grade complexity — trust patterns, transaction states, CMS-driven storefronts — while keeping the experience feeling distinctly gaming, not generic. If you've shipped consumer apps at the intersection of commerce and payments and back your craft with data, we'd love to talk.

[Key Responsibilities]

  • Own the UX architecture across app and web: information architecture, navigation, user flows and edge cases.
  • Create and maintain a scalable design system: tokens, component library (atomic + store-specific), responsive grid, dark mode, and dev handoff documentation.
  • Shape the brand’s visual identity in-product: colour system, typography, iconography, illustration style, and motion principles that feel gamer-native, not generic fintech.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering on every sprint: participate in spec reviews, prototype key interactions, run design QA, and iterate based on analytics (Metabase, GA).collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers

[Required Experience]

  • Experience with consumer tech products (Fintech/ecommerce/social products)
  • Familiarity with gamification design: progression systems, achievement frameworks, reward loops.
  • Experience designing for CMS-driven storefronts where layouts are dynamically configured by non-technical teams.
  • Motion design skills (Lottie, After Effects, or Rive) for micro-interactions and celebratory moments.

[Preferred Qualifications]

  • 5+ years in product design with at least 2 years designing UX in consumer based fintech/social/ecommerce apps. You understand compliance-driven UX constraints, trust-building patterns, and transaction-state communication.
  • Shipped consumer-facing mobile apps (iOS/Android) at scale. Bonus if you’ve worked on a product that combines commerce + payments.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking: from research and IA to high-fidelity UI and interaction design. We’ll evaluate craft, not volume.
  • Experience building or significantly contributing to a design system used across multiple surfaces and teams.
  • Proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping). Comfortable with responsive web design.
  • Ability to design for complex state management: loading, empty, error, partial-success, and async states across payment and commerce flows.
  • Data-informed design sensibility. You’ve used funnel data, heatmaps, or A/B test results to drive design decisions, not just aesthetics.
