About this role

Job Summary

Plume is looking for a Product Designer to shape how institutions and retail users interact with tokenized real-world assets onchain. You will own design end-to-end — from problem framing and user research through high-fidelity UI and shipped product — across Plume's core app, issuer/vault tooling, and partner-facing surfaces. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to make complex financial and blockchain concepts feel simple, trustworthy, and fast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end user flows for tokenized asset discovery, onboarding, KYC/compliance gating, staking, and portfolio management.
  • Translate ambiguous problems involving novel financial structures (vaults, structured credit, treasury products) into clear, intuitive interfaces.
  • Build and maintain a scalable design system/component library used across web app, marketing site, and partner integrations.
  • Run lightweight user research and usability testing with both retail crypto users and institutional counterparties.
  • Partner directly with engineers to ensure pixel-accurate, performant implementation; review shipped work against design intent.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mocks in Figma; present design rationale to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on landing pages, campaign assets, and product launch visuals.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product design experience, ideally with at least one shipped consumer or fintech product used at scale.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership: research, IA/flows, visual design, and post-launch iteration.
  • Expert in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout) and familiar with handoff tools/workflows.
  • Comfortable designing for regulated, compliance-heavy flows (KYC/AML, accreditation, disclosures) without sacrificing usability.
  • Strong visual craft: typography, layout, motion, and systemized color/spacing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to defend design decisions with data and reasoning, not just aesthetics.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience designing for crypto, DeFi, or fintech products, ideally something involving custody, trading, or asset management.
  • Familiarity with wallet UX patterns (MetaMask, WalletConnect, account abstraction) and onchain transaction flows.
  • Experience designing for multiple personas simultaneously (retail investor, institutional allocator, internal ops team).
  • Basic fluency in HTML/CSS or React sufficient to prototype or collaborate closely with engineering.

About Plume

Plume is a public, cross chain compatible blockchain built for Real World Assets (RWAs). We go beyond tokenization — enabling assets to be used like crypto: stake, swap, lend, borrow, loop, and more.

By integrating institutional‑grade assets with DeFi tools, Plume makes private credit, ETFs, commodities, and other traditionally inaccessible assets permissionless, composable, and usable at a click. Our mission: bridge traditional finance and crypto through adoption without sacrificing transparency or user experience.

  • 180+ RWA companies building dapps and tokenizing assets on Plume’s testnet, ranging from collectibles and real estate to equities and private credit
  • 50+ technology partners working with Plume and offering special services to our ecosystem partners
  • Experienced team of 20+ crypto, finance, and tech professionals from:
    • Crypto: Coinbase, dYdX, LayerZero, Binance, Galaxy Digital, Kraken
    • Finance/Tech: JP Morgan, Robinhood, Fidelity, Google, Coupa, Affirm
  • Backed by great investors and operators including:
    • YZi Labs, Brevan Howard, Haun Ventures, Galaxy Digital, F-Prime Lightspeed, Faction, Superscrypt, SV Angel, and more
