Paytm’s mission is to serve half a billion Indians and bring them to the mainstream economy with the help of technology Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (SPM) who can own products end-to-end — from identifying customer and business problems to defining the product strategy, shipping high-quality experiences, and measuring outcomes. The ideal candidate should be a strong product thinker, execution leader, customer advocate, and stakeholder manager, with hands-on experience in building and scaling digital products. Experience in FinTech, lending, payments, Internet, or e-commerce is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities * Own the product vision, roadmap, prioritisation, and execution for one or more product areas. * Translate customer, business, and market problems into clear product requirements and scalable solutions. * Drive products/features through the complete lifecycle — discovery → definition → development → launch → measurement → iteration. * Lead feature launches and product releases, ensuring strong execution, adoption, and measurable business impact. * Work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Analytics, Business, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams. * Manage multiple high-priority and concurrent product initiatives in an Agile environment. * Own customer-facing experiences and continuously improve UX, conversion, engagement, and customer satisfaction. * Use data, experimentation, customer insights, and qualitative feedback to make evidence-based product decisions. * Identify product opportunities through customer research, market trends, competitive analysis, and business performance. * Define success metrics, track product performance, and drive continuous optimisation. * Proactively identify product risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and execution challenges and drive them to closure. * Mentor and guide product team members and contribute to building a high-performing product culture. Required Qualifications & Experience * Engineering background — B.E./B.Tech or equivalent technical education preferred. * Strong product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of products from concept to launch and scale. * Prior experience in FinTech / Lending / Payments / Financial Services is strongly preferred. * Experience in Internet, e-commerce, consumer technology, or other high-scale digital businesses is also highly relevant. * Experience building and managing customer-facing digital products/assets. Proven track record of shipping products and features at scale, not just managing requirements. * Strong experience in stakeholder management, including working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. * Prior experience in team management / mentoring / product team leadership. * Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience operating in fast-paced product environments. * Ability to independently manage multiple mainstream/high-impact projects simultaneously, while maintaining prioritisation and execution discipline. * Strong understanding of product analytics, experimentation, funnels, conversion metrics, and customer behaviour. * Hands-on experience using AI/GenAI in product development or business use cases. * Candidates should be comfortable discussing practical AI applications; practical AI use cases will be evaluated during the interview. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex problems and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
