About the Role We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Product Manager – Mutual Funds to join our team at Paytm Money. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the mutual fund ecosystem, investment products, and digital wealth management, with hands-on experience in building scalable, customer-centric financial products. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role that involves ownership of the entire product lifecycle—from strategy to execution—to deliver seamless mutual fund investment experiences for millions of users. Key Responsibilities ● Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Mutual Fund products, including SIPs, Lumpsum investments, STP, SWP, NFOs, Goal-based Investing, Tax Saver (ELSS), and portfolio management features. ● Define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory requirements. ● Collaborate with technology, design, operations, compliance, marketing, and business teams to conceptualize and launch impactful product features. ● Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, customer interviews, and user behavior analysis to identify growth opportunities and improve product adoption. ● Translate customer and business requirements into clear PRDs, wireframes, user journeys, and acceptance criteria. ● Ensure all product features comply with SEBI, AMFI, KYC, FATCA, and other regulatory and operational guidelines. ● Drive customer engagement, activation, retention, and AUM growth through data-driven product enhancements and experimentation. ● Work closely with analytics teams to define success metrics, monitor product performance, and continuously optimize user experience. ● Stay updated on mutual fund industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the wealth-tech ecosystem. Requirements ● 7+ years of overall experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Mutual Funds, WealthTech, Asset Management, or Investment Products. ● Strong understanding of mutual fund products, SIP lifecycle, order management, KYC processes, transaction flows, reconciliation, and compliance frameworks. ● Proven track record of managing digital investment or wealth management products. ● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. ● Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. ● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment. Superpowers that will help you to succeed ● Exposure to digital wealth management or investment platforms. ● Strong understanding of customer investment journeys, portfolio management, and financial planning. ● Knowledge of capital markets, ETFs, retirement products, and wealth advisory solutions. ● Experience in scaling B2C fintech products and driving customer engagement through product-led growth.
