About this role

SumUp empowers businesses to get paid effortlessly, process orders fast, sell online in minutes, and manage their money with confidence. We build the tools that help businesses — and their customer experiences — thrive.

Brazil's Banking Product team sits at the intersection of regulation, payments infrastructure, and product delivery, managing a complex ecosystem of third-party partners, Central Bank requirements, and operational processes that keep millions of transactions running reliably every day.
With our banking products continuing to grow, we're creating a dedicated Product Operations Analyst role to strengthen our operational excellence and help the team scale effectively.

In this role, you'll own the operational foundation that enables the team to move quickly and confidently. You'll drive regulatory and operational processes, coordinate cross-functional execution, and ensure our banking products operate smoothly and remain compliant - creating the conditions for Product Managers to focus on strategy, innovation, and delivering new value for our merchants.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and evaluate Central Bank of Brazil requirements, coordinate regulatory submissions, and support annual certification processes across the banking ecosystem
  • Run and validate monthly transaction uploads into Snowflake, ensuring reconciliation and audit processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Manage ticket and inbox operations, maintain SLA visibility, and prepare structured summaries and escalations for Product Managers
  • Track and communicate operational changes through governance workflows, keeping all updates documented and traceable across teams
  • Coordinate logistics and follow-ups for routine stakeholder meetings with internal teams and external partners such as Pismo, Thales, and Mastercard
  • Identify recurring friction points in operational workflows and propose structured improvements to reduce manual effort over time

You'll be great for this role if…

  • Experience working with banking, payment systems, or similarly complex integration-based ecosystems, with a solid understanding of how operational and regulatory processes interact
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional delivery across Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders, keeping priorities clear and ownership well-de fined
  • Strong organisational skills and comfort handling high volumes of partner-driven changes, balancing urgency with the discipline to introduce structure over time • Ability to interpret external partner requirements — such as file changes, compliance updates, or configuration adjustments — and translate them into clear, actionable tasks
  • Clear written and verbal communication in both Portuguese and advanced English, with the confidence to align stakeholders and document decisions precisely
  • Basic SQL skills and a process-improvement mindset, with a natural drive to reduce manual overhead and build more reliable workflows
