Dannevirke is one of two clinics under the Tararua Vet Services brand, and there’s a close collaboration between the Dannevirke and Pahiatua clinics. For almost 20 years we’ve been serving the Tararua region. We’re a mixed clinic offering a range of services for production and companion animals.

About Dannevirke
Dannevirke is a rural service town steeped in Scandinavian heritage in-between the Manawatu & Hawkes Bay regions of the North Island, New Zealand. It is the main centre of the Tararua District and is at the foot of the beautiful Ruahine Ranges.
Dannevirke is smack bang in the middle – a short drive over the hill will land you in Palmerston North city, and a short drive in the other direction (north) will take you to the sunny Hawkes Bay, and then, to the east, are the beaches complete with great fishing and diving. What more could you ask for!
Production animal veterinarian (fulltime)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Animal Veterinarian with a special passion for the dairy sector. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team of production animal veterinarians and technicians, while also being confident to work independently.
Key attributes:
- A dairy clinician with experience in all aspects of dairy medicine and herd performance
- Commitment to client service with a professional attitude
- Passionate about dairy clients and dairy farming
- Able to create and drive client programmes
- Confidence to work independently in a busy practice
- Good time management and proven organisational skills
- Displays great interpersonal skills to build relationships
- Willingness to participate in the after–hours roster

This position is full-time; working Monday to Friday with participation in the after-hours roster.
