Supervises a team of engineers who work on several projects in a common technology area or one complex new technology. Monitors progress of projects and ensures that they adhere to established standards and project plans. Monitors reports and feasibility analysis to ensure validity.

Designation : Project Lead – Design

Reporting to : Sr. Project Lead / Manager

Location : Bangalore, Full Time Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree will be advantage)

Experience : 12 - 14 Years (Min 4Yrs exp in leading teams and projects working with US businesses)

Position Overview: This is a leader role that will manage the projects and people, while being responsible for his/her own deliverables for Marmon Fastner Group (https://www.marmonfasteners.com/ ). We are seeking a dynamic Team Leader to manage both projects and team members, while remaining accountable for individual deliverables. In this role, you will foster collaboration across cross-functional teams, implement technical strategies and best practices, and lead the successful execution of complex initiatives. As a Team Leader, you’ll deepen your technical expertise while playing a key role in driving Marmon’s growth and innovation. You’ll be responsible for mentoring team members, supporting their development, and conducting annual performance reviews. This role offers the opportunity to shape team culture, enhance processes, and make a meaningful impact through both leadership and hands-on contribution.

Key Responsibilities / Functions: • Schedule and oversee delivery of core or derivative programs, provide technical oversight to product development programs, lead complex NPD processes, and drive the use of methodologies like Concept Selection, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Design Validation Plans & VAVE • Participate in design process, testing, and reviews for systems across all product lines as a functional expert • Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for systems • Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools • Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutions • Lead 8D activities to identify root cause of issues and oversee development/implementation of a corrective action plan. • Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product lines • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met • Stay up to date with the latest advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations in a chosen subject matter • Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, workshops, and conferences. • Collaborate with Mechanical, Simulation, Thermal, Software, Electrical/Electronics and Hardware Engineer to provide necessary directions and address concerns in a timely and effective manner

Skills/Experience: • Thorough knowledge about NPD process and experience in facilitating DFMEA, Design Reviews, Design Validation Plans and Testing. • Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and concepts • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in work • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly • Experience with complex system design • Well-versed in Cold forging, thread rolling, heat treatment, and surface coating, ASME and ANSI drawing standards • Experience with refining marketing specs and ensuring alignment of system design with the defined requirements • Flexible in adapting quickly to changing business needs and project priorities • Experience in working with global engineering team is a must (Preferably with US teams) Personal Characteristics and Attributes: • A seasoned, results-oriented leader who motivates team members for accountability and to excel; solid track record of accomplishments; integrity, openness, creativity, and an entrepreneurial mentality.
