Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Remote Construction Project Manager to support a Sewer Improvement / Water Treatment Plant construction project and broader public sector construction operations.
This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional who understands the U.S. market, has experience managing government or public works projects, and can provide the same level of organization, communication, and oversight expected from an onsite Project Manager.
You’ll work closely with onsite staff, coordinate project workflows, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure projects stay organized and moving forward.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day project workflows for public sector construction projects, particularly sewer improvement and water treatment projects.
Coordinate closely with onsite project and field staff through scheduled meetings and ongoing communication.
Monitor project progress, deliverables, timelines, requirements, and outstanding items.
Communicate with cities, counties, states, and government agencies regarding project status, requirements, and coordination.
Review and organize project documentation, schedules, and other project management information.
Use the company's software, systems, and tools to provide comprehensive remote project management support.
Coordinate calendars, meetings, follow-ups, and project action items.
Identify potential issues or delays and proactively communicate them to the appropriate team members.
Maintain clear communication between remote operations and onsite teams.
Provide the level of oversight, organization, and accountability expected from an experienced onsite Project Manager.
Support the team with additional project management and construction operations needs as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5–10+ years of construction project management experience.
Proven experience managing U.S.-based construction projects.
Experience with public sector, government, or public works construction projects.
Prior experience with sewer improvement, water treatment, wastewater, or similar infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of U.S. construction project workflows and documentation.
Fully fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable coordinating with onsite teams and external stakeholders remotely.
Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to project management.
Able to work full-time on Eastern Time.
Reliable internet connection and a professional remote-work setup.
