About this role

Overview

Bronson Behavioral is seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team on a PRN basis. In this role, the Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including patient evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and development of individualized treatment plans.

 

The provider will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat a variety of behavioral health conditions while supporting positive patient outcomes. This position plays an important role in delivering high-quality mental health services, promoting patient wellness, and ensuring compassionate, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

Summary:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
