Context

In India, SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros, High Speed Rail, Railways, Roads, Buildings, Urban planning, and Water Infrastructure for public and private organizations.

Since the early 1990s, SYSTRA group has established a strong presence in Bangladesh, contributing to the successful completion of a wide range of complex railway, metro, highway and bridge projects for various Government Organizations and funding agencies.

The multi-disciplinary services provided by SYSTRA in all projects comprising of feasibility study, design and engineering, bid documentation, tendering services, environment and social safeguards study, construction supervision and project management consultancy. The services also extended to business planning, policy reform, institutional and organizational restructuring.

We are seeking applications for the position of QA/QC Specialist for Dhaka MRT Line 1 CS.

Missions/Main Duties

1. Report to Resident Engineer 2 (Package 2)

2. Be responsible for supervising the construction (quanlity) of civil works for Package 2.

3. Check and review the Contractor's working/shop design and construction planning related to civil works for Package 2.

4. Collect and compile data related to civil works for package 2 for MPR covering the progress of the works, including the construction schedule, quaity, safety and cost status.

5. Assist in resolving, countering or mitigating actual and potential claims from the Contractor.

6. Assist Employer in testing on completion of works related to package 2.

Profile/Skills

• Bachelor Degree in the field of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Years of experience - At least 15 years, 7 Years Depot
• Prior experience requirement - At least one construction project outside home country.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
