About this role

The Repair Specialist will be responsible for executing the repair and restoration of jewelry items. This role requires a keen eye for detail, extensive knowledge of various repair techniques, and the ability to work with precious metals and gemstones. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in jewelry repair, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality. Prioritizing customer service support is essential to help customers understand the process of their repairs and aftercare.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the operation of processing all repairs ensuring the quality of the repair work meets R2Net standards, the accuracy of the customers’ requests, and the timely completion of the work performed. Document condition photos as needed.  
  • Responsible for investigating repair orders with issues, expediting late orders and rush requests from the customer service team, and providing follow-up communication.  
  • Responsible for the processing of returns including the evaluation of the merchandise for quality and adherence to the terms of the return policy.  
  • Responsible for communicating all reoccurring product quality issues to management and proposes corrective action to improve quality standards. responding promptly to all customer service requests.  
  • Responsible for systematic movement of repair orders from QC R & R receiving location to inspector workstation.   
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and inspection results.  
  • Support QC operations for processing new orders as needed. 
  • Responsible for opening and closing activities for QC areas. 
  • 3+ years of experience in jewelry repair and production preferred. 
  • Graduate Gemologist degree preferred.  
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of jewelry repair techniques, tools and materials. 
  • Proficient in working with precious metals and gemstones. 
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. 
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Working understanding of Microsoft office suite.

Base pay is $28 - $32 hourly. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
