Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiation Therapy Technologist, you will administer radiation treatments under physician direction, localizing patients and collecting vital data for treatment planning. Your role is critical in providing compassionate care within our Radiation Oncology department, aligned with our Core Values.

Every day you will localize patients on simulators, collect treatment planning data, and actively participate in quality assessments and cancer center meetings. You will safely operate specialized radiation therapy equipment and educate patients on treatment procedures and policies.

To be successful in this role, you will understand radiation therapy planning and competently operate advanced treatment equipment. You will provide excellent patient and family education, demonstrating strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
  • Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
  • Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
  • Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
  • Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
  • Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.

 

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus offered for qualified new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible. However, we are offering a Referral Bonus for this role.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • CA Radiation Therapy license
  • ARRT in Radiation Therapy 
  • Current BLS Card
  • Simulation patient set-up and treatment with a good understanding of treatment planning

Preferred:

  • Minimum one (1) year experience preferred
