Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiation Tech, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment, operating complex equipment while ensuring patient safety.Every day, you will interact with patients, explain procedures, position them correctly, and monitor their well-being. You will also maintain records, adhere to safety protocols, and collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal care.To be successful, you need exceptional technical proficiency, understanding of anatomy and imaging, and compassionate patient care.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Responsible for upholding Dignity Health's visions, values, and guiding principles.
  • Responsible for maintaining positive morale levels in areas supervised.
  • Communicates positively and effectively with customers and staff.
  • Responsible for technical knowledge of Radiation Oncology.
  • Responsible for upkeeping all stock and par levels in the Radiation Oncology.
  • Delivers the prescribed planned course of Radiation Therapy accurately with minimal supervision.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement

Job Requirements

Required

  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days and
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology or
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, upon hire

Preferred

  • Completion of JRCERT approved program in Radiation Therapy
  • Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience
  • Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist: CA  and
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
