Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians’ orders. Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
2 years previous experience in Radiology.
REQUIRED LICESNSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current certification with the Texas Medical Board. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required. Valid Drivers’ license and reliable transportation necessary as driving between campuses is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of positioning, radiation safety and quality patient care. Ability to generate quality images in a timely manner.
