This Role: This role is an opportunity to scale our storage business in the booming Maharashtra market. The favourable policy infrastructure and high utility tariffs have created a strong demand for BESS. This role will help Cygni capitalize on this trend and build a regional leadership.

Location: Pune (MH) / Hyderabad (TS)

Responsibilities:

1. Solar & Wind EPC and IPP player partnerships
    • Build deep B2B partnerships with Solar & Wind EPC players to become their de facto choice for storage solutions

2. C&I Sales planning
    • Undertake sales planning with actionable evidence / pipeline for growth
    • Take ownership of sales targets

3. Market Analysis
    • Identify new use cases for storage solutions where existing products may be a good techno-commercial fit
    • Take up validation / POC to establish value and rapidly scale new offering

4. New Product Development
    • Work collaboratively with the Product Development team / Partners to translate market requirements / feedback into products

5. Marketing and Lead generation
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and drive Cygni’s participation in relevant forums
    • Collaborate on the creation of marketing strategies that resonate with the target audience

6. Team management and coaching
    • Actively manage the Sales team including pipeline management, lead prioritization through a structured CRM
    • Coaching and mentoring of Sales team to improve conversion and quota achievement

Professional qualifications:
    • Engineering undergraduate
    • MBA or Masters in Engineering is a plus
    • 3 to 4 years of proven experience of successfully delivering on sales targets (with or without storage).
    • Experience of dealing with various System Integrators (SI) and Renewable Energy EPC players is preferred
    • Basic understanding of Lithium Ion battery in various applications is a plus
    • Demonstrable experience of sourcing projects in the 25kWp to 1MWp range through non-tender route

    • Existing network of relationships with Solar & Wind EPC players
    • Ability to build relationships with B2B customers
    • Appetite for relatively deep technical understanding of products
    • Strong resourcefulness to work within constraints and still deliver
    • Excellent written and oral communication
    • Track record of owning and achieving / exceeding sales targets
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Deep understanding of the renewable energy industry
