Job Overview: Responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to Business Managers within the assigned region to achieve financial and non-financial targets, drive portfolio growth and profitability, ensure excellent customer experience, deepen market penetration, strengthen risk asset quality, and promote adoption of the Bank’s products and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
Drive regional profitability, growth, and achievement of strategic targets
Lead Business Managers to deliver financial and non-financial performance objectives
Identify business opportunities and conduct market intelligence to support growth
Oversee credit processing, approvals, disbursements, and portfolio performance
Monitor loan recoveries, delinquency trends, and regulatory compliance
Drive customer acquisition, retention, and digital channel adoption
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and stakeholders
Collaborate with SBUs to drive ecosystem opportunities and business growth
Build a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Conduct staff performance reviews and capability development sessions
Ensure adherence to the Bank’s core values, policies, and service standards
Prepare regional business plans, profitability reports, and management reports
Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Head

Strong knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian SME banking market
Good understanding of banking operations (domestic and international operations)

Strong leadership and influencing capabilities
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Competence in credit portfolio management
Ability to review, and analyze credit proposals
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications & Experience
A good first degree in any discipline. Relevant Masters’ degree is an added advantage.
Recognized professional certification such as ACIB, etc.
10 years in sales with at least 3 years in team management role.
