In this role, you will lead a team of high-performing sales executives, driving significant Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth and developing long-term partnerships with key SLED clients. Your expertise in the SLED buying cycle, combined with your ability to align sales efforts with Wiz’s cutting-edge cloud security solutions, will be crucial to our success.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute comprehensive GTM plans that align with Wiz’s overall objectives and the unique budgetary and legislative cycles of SLED customers.

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of Wiz Cloud Security Solutions and effectively communicate their value, ensuring alignment with critical public service missions and digital modernization initiatives.

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the SLED space, leveraging your network and understanding of cooperative purchasing agreements and grant funding to expand Wiz’s presence.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, solutions engineering, and customer success teams to ensure an integrated approach to sales.

  • Analyze sales performance metrics to continuously improve team efficiency and outcomes, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and state-by-state procurement demands.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (CIOs, CISOs, Procurement Directors) in State IT and large University systems to foster long-term partnerships.

  • Stay informed on legislative trends, compliance requirements (e.g., CJIS, FERPA), and public procurement processes, using this knowledge to guide strategy and sales execution.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in Public Sector sales leadership, with a focus on the SLED (State, Local, and Education) market.

  • Experience leading a team of enterprise and major account executives focused on SLED sales.

  • Experience with SLED procurement processes, including cooperative purchasing vehicles (like NASPO, GSA, or state contracts) and the annual budget cycle.

  • Experience with cloud security solutions and their applicability within public-facing and educational environments (e.g., securing student data, public services infrastructure).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven track record of building and executing successful GTM strategies, driving significant ARR growth across multiple states or large territories.

  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive performance.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in the public sector.
