FIREFLY is seeking a full-time Registered Behaviour Analyst to join our team.  In this role, you will provide behaviour analytic services, support the development and monitoring of applied behaviour analysis program, and provide clinical oversight to Positive Behaviour Interventionists.  You will work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to strengthening the well-being of children, youth, and families across Northwestern Ontario.

About the Role

As a Registered Behaviour Analyst at FIREFLY, you will play an important role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.  Reporting to the Clinical Manager you will:

  •  Develop, monitor, evaluate, review and modify ABA programs for children with ASD based on initial and ongoing assessments
  • Provide behaviour analytic services and clinical oversight to Positive Behaviour Interventionists
  • Support quality assurance through staff training, evaluation, and contributions to program development
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with Behaviour Analyst Certification Board guidelines and FIREFLY policies and procedures
  • Analyze and synthesize data to support assessment, programming, and intervention planning
  • Advocate on behalf of client for service, equipment, and funding
  • Work collaboratively with FIREFLY staff and community agencies
  • Act as a resource for FIREFLY staff and community agencies

This position requires travel between service delivery sites in urban and rural settings across Northwestern Ontario.  


What We're Looking For

Education & Registration:

  • Masters Degree in Behaviour Analysis or Psychology is required
  • Registration as a Registered Behaviour Analyst authorizing autonomous practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario is required
  • Certification with the Behaviour Analysts Certification Board or registration in progress, will be considered


Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience training and/or supervising others to provide behaviour analytics is required
  • Demonstrated competency in delivery and oversight of behaviour assessment and intervention for children and youth with ASD is required
  • Experience working with children and youth with developmental concerns and/or ASD, and their families, is required


Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of autism, developmental disabilities, and clinical assessment tools are required
  • Strong ability to assess needs, develop programming, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, youth, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to support and involve parents and caregivers in programming in a respectful and meaningful way
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a diverse and collaborative team
  • Ability to work creatively with clients individually and in group settings
  • Strong documentation, report writing, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team and organization goals
  • Ability to communicate effective 
  • Ability to speak French would be an asset
