Relationship Manager – Commercial Bank (Crop Loans)
Job Description:
- Acquire and manage Crop Loan customers within the assigned territory.
- Source Crop Loan business through field visits, market mapping, farmer engagement, agri-business relationships, and referral channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agri-input dealers, commission agents, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and agri-value chain participants.
- Assess customer credit requirements and recommend suitable crop financing solutions.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation, customer onboarding, documentation, credit processing, and loan disbursement.
- Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets for Crop Loans.
- Conduct regular farm visits and customer meetings to understand agricultural activities and financial needs.
- Monitor portfolio performance and ensure timely collection of repayments.
- Identify early warning signals and coordinate with collections teams to maintain portfolio quality.
- Cross-sell banking products including savings accounts, current accounts, insurance, deposits, and other lending products.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and relationship management.
- Stay updated on agricultural trends, crop patterns, government schemes, and rural market developments.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and audit guidelines.
- Prepare sales pipelines, customer reports, and portfolio review updates.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate in any discipline; Agriculture, Rural Management, Finance, or MBA preferred.
- 3–8 years of experience in Crop Loans, Agri Finance, Rural Banking, KCC, Agricultural Lending, or Commercial Banking.
- Strong knowledge of crop financing, agricultural cycles, rural markets, and lending products.
- Experience in customer acquisition and relationship management.
- Understanding of credit assessment, documentation, and loan processing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with farmers and agricultural business communities.
- Self-driven with strong sales and target orientation.
- Proficiency in local language and regional market knowledge preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned geography.
