Purpose:

Athene is seeking a Regional Vice President / External Wholesaler to grow our presence across the Direct/Independent Broker-Dealer channel in the Southeast Florida territory. In this highly visible sales role, you’ll own territory growth by developing advisor relationships, delivering compelling retirement solutions and partnering with internal sales colleagues to turn market opportunities into results.

Accountabilities:

• Own and grow the Southeast Florida territory, partnering with the Division Sales VP to develop and execute a business plan that increases sales, expands market share and delivers against growth objectives.

• Build trusted advisor relationships across the Direct/Independent Broker-Dealer channel by identifying new producers, strengthening existing partnerships and delivering relevant sales ideas and client solutions.

• Create a high-impact field strategy with Internal Wholesaling partners, using advisor and territory insights to prioritize opportunities, develop productive travel rotations and maximize in-person engagement.

• Serve as a compelling voice for Athene, delivering product and sales training through advisor meetings, seminars, workshops and branch presentations while keeping producers informed of market and product developments.

• Use data, technology and AI-enabled insights thoughtfully to identify opportunities, enhance territory planning, personalize advisor engagement and improve sales effectiveness while applying sound judgment and appropriate controls.

• Act like an owner of the territory, strategically managing marketing and sales initiatives, budget and expenses while adapting quickly to market changes, testing new approaches and translating insights into action.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in external wholesaling, financial services distribution, annuity sales or relevant professional experience, preferred with demonstrated success growing a territory and delivering measurable sales results.

• Strong knowledge of the Fixed Indexed Annuity and Registered Index-Linked Annuity marketplace, advisor community and broader competitive landscape.

• Proven sales acumen with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence advisors and deliver engaging presentations and training to individuals and groups.

• Strategic and critical-thinking skills with a bias for action; ability to use data and emerging tools, including AI where appropriate, to identify opportunities, solve problems and adapt quickly in a changing sales environment.

• Active Life & Health license and FINRA Series 6 or Series 7, along with the ability to travel approximately 75% throughout the territory.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Location Requirement: This position requires the RVP to currently reside within the Southeast Florida territory. Candidates residing outside the territory will not be considered.

$62,412.80 - $93,619.20 USD Annual

Annual Salary for this role is market competitive.  Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.  Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
