As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will deliver individual and group counseling, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and design behavioral supports for students who are blind, visually impaired, Deafblind, or multiply impaired.

How you will make an impact:

As a key member of our interdisciplinary Deafblind Program team, your work directly shapes the daily lives and long-term potential of students who are blind, visually impaired, Deafblind, or multiply impaired:

  • Direct Clinical Care & Student Support: Provide individual and group psychotherapeutic counseling, perform specialized psycho-diagnostic evaluations, and deliver hands-on crisis intervention in classroom and residential settings.

  • Behavioral Design & Family Collaboration: Design and implement tailored behavior management programs. You’ll work closely with families, program staff, and external mental health professionals to ensure cohesive, wrap-around support.

  • Team & IEP Leadership: Active participant in admissions screenings, triennial evaluations, and IEP meetings—ensuring student needs always come first in every decision.

  • Field Leadership & Mentorship: Drive the field forward by mentoring undergraduate and graduate interns, adapting assessment tools for complex needs, and contributing to groundbreaking research, publications, and conference presentations.

Education/Experience:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved college or university.

  • Certification: Massachusetts DESE Certification as a School Psychologist is required.

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a school psychologist.

 

The following shared salary range is what Perkins reasonably expects, in good faith, to pay for the position. The applicable range could differ based on experience and qualification.

$55,523.60-$96,029.42
