About this role

Ready to dive into the dynamic world of social gaming and be part of a rapidly expanding team?

Patrianna is a fast-scaling product development company headquartered in Gibraltar, with a dynamic, global team powering our growth. We operate at the intersection of technology and entertainment, building innovative solutions that shape the future of social gaming and deliver outstanding experiences to millions of players worldwide.
We’re driven by speed, ambition, and bold ideas. At our core, we’re product creators and problem-solvers who thrive in a high-performance environment. We’re looking for exceptional talent—smart, adaptable, and motivated individuals eager to make an impact, scale business functions at pace, and continuously improve.

AI-Driven Engineering Culture
We are actively building an AI-driven engineering organization with a clear and deliberate stance: artificial intelligence is a core part of how we build and deliver software — not an experiment, not a trend, and not an optional add-on.
AI is embedded into our engineering workflows, from system design and prototyping to refactoring, testing, and code review. We expect engineers to be fully comfortable working in AI-driven environments and to treat AI as a primary productivity multiplier. Strong engineering judgment, architectural ownership, and accountability remain essential—AI amplifies our engineers, it doesn’t replace responsibility for technical decisions.

What you will be doing

  • Automation setup maintenance and enhancement: refactor Java frameworks (JUnit5, Playwright, Retrofit) using agentic AI tools to ensure scalable architecture.

  • Researching in AQA tools/technology: Evaluate and implement cutting-edge AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code) and agentic workflows.

  • Code review & Refactoring: Use AI to identify security flaws, edge cases, and design pattern violations during PR reviews.

  • Configure CI/CD & AI Integration: Implement AI-powered root cause analysis and self-healing mechanisms within GitHub Actions/Docker pipelines.

  • Technical debt management: Utilize AI agents to plan and execute large-scale migrations (e.g., library upgrades, restructuring legacy code).

  • Mentoring & Interviewing: Train the team on prompt engineering best practices and evaluate candidates' AI-literacy.

  • Contribution to Operations Excellence (OpEx): Develop and maintain team-wide AI instructions (e.g., .cursorrules, CLAUDE.md) to standardize code quality.

    What we are looking for

  • Extensive full-time experience in Java Automation (Java 8+) with a strong foundation in software testing theory, test strategies, and industry standards.

  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Playwright, RestAssured, Retrofit, and Appium.

  • Hands-on experience with API automation, OpenAPI/JSON schema validation, and SQL/NoSQL database testing with intelligent query validation.

  • Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Strong web automation skills with deep knowledge of HTML/CSS/DOM, XPath/CSS selectors, and advanced browser DevTools debugging.

  • Deep understanding of client-server architecture, task estimation, task prioritization, and independent execution aligned with team leads.

  • Experience in building and maintaining comprehensive Test Documentation, Reports, and strategies, leveraging AI tools.

  • Expert proficiency in AI-Augmented Engineering, including Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and agentic coding modes (e.g., Cursor Composer) for multi-file feature implementation.

  • Advanced prompt engineering skills with sharp critical thinking to spot and fix "AI-hallucinations", ensuring architectural soundness, script robustness, and data security policies.

  • Excellent communication skills and professional English proficiency.
