Secondary Principal 

As Secondary Principal, you will directly oversee all endeavors of MC Prep classrooms in the sixth through twelfth grades.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Head of School in establishing and maintaining an effective learning climate in the school
  • Supervises the secondary school’s teaching/learning process
  • Collaborate with teachers to establish curriculum map and pacing guides
  • Perform observations and communicate high quality feedback to teachers
  • Provides best practices with secondary teachers regarding classroom management, collaborative learning, and maximizing effectiveness of curriculum
  • Assists the administrator with the continual development, evaluation, and revision of the curriculum
  • Onboarding for new teachers
  • Assists the Head of School in resolving individual student problems
  • Maintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary
  • Attends special events held to recognize student achievement, and attends school sponsored activities, functions, and athletic events
  • Assists in providing in-service orientation and training to teachers
  • Assists in the preparation of schedules for secondary classes
  • Assists in conducting safety inspections and safety drill activities
  • Provides a regular series of activities designed for spiritual growth and development, emphasizes character training in each classroom, and monitors the progress of the teachers in integrating Biblical principles and examples in teaching
  • Assists the Head of School in interviewing teachers for secondary positions.
  • Facilitates school tours
  • Interviews prospective families
  • Tests incoming students
  • Serves as a resource to the faculty and/or parents.
  • Performs other tasks and assumes responsibilities as assigned by Head of School

Hours

This position is full-time/40 week. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am – 4:30pm. You may be asked to work an adjusted work schedule due to events and or activities.
