We're Hiring: Security Officer

📍 Location: Fleet, GU51 2UZ
💰 Pay: £13.97 per hour
📅 Hours: 54 hours per week
🌙 Shift Pattern: 5 on 3 off & 4 on 2 off
🕒 Shifts: 19:00 - 07:00 (Nights) & 07:00 - 19:00 (Days),Weekday shifts are all nights, every weekend working alternating days and nights.
📌 Grade: 3.1 Site Based

We are looking for a professional Security Officer to join our team in Fleet. As a Security Officer, you will protect people, property, and assets while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a safe and secure environment. The Security Officer will work a rotating shift pattern, with all weekdays worked as nights and alternating day/night shifts at weekends.

As a Security Officer, you will protect people, property, and assets while delivering excellent customer service at a leading technology site. The Security Officer will carry out patrols, monitor security systems, control access, and respond to incidents in line with site procedures. The Security Officer must hold a valid SIA Licence and demonstrate Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

·  Conduct regular security patrols and monitor CCTV, alarms, and access points.

·  Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors.

·  Control site access, issue passes, and manage keys.

·  Respond to incidents, emergencies, evacuations, and fire alarms.

·  Protect people, property, and assets from loss, theft, and damage.

·  Complete accurate records, incident reports, and shift handovers.

·  Ensure compliance with security, health & safety, and site procedures.

·  Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A valid SIA Licence, or willingness to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A 5-year checkable employment history, including any periods of employment, education, self-employment, or unemployment.
• No unspent criminal convictions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional, and punctual with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to the values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Must be aged 18 or over.

Desirable

• Previous experience as a Security Officer or within the security industry.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
• A valid First Aid qualification.
