This role is ideal for professionals with strong proficiency inย Java, hands-on experience withย Hadoop,ย SQL, and distributed computing technologies, and a passion for designing scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant software solutions.
As a Senior Development Engineer, you will play a key role in architecting, developing, and optimizing distributed platforms that handle large volumes of data and complex workloads. Working closely with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and product stakeholders, you will contribute to the design of resilient systems while driving engineering excellence, performance optimization, and secure software development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance distributed systems and backend services.
- Build reliable distributed applications with a focus on scalability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource utilization.
- Develop robust Java-based services and optimize application performance for large-scale deployments.
- Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to support high-volume distributed environments.
- Work with Hadoop and distributed data processing technologies to build scalable data solutions.
- Implement secure communication mechanisms using encryption, authentication, and SSL/TLS protocols.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and mentor junior engineers.
- Follow engineering best practices for coding standards, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.

- 10+ years of professional experience in software development with strong expertise inย Java.

- Strong understanding of distributed computing concepts, scalability, fault tolerance, resource management, and distributed communication protocols.
- Experience implementing security mechanisms including encryption, authentication, and SSL/TLS.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on performance optimization.
- Experience withย C++ย is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such asย AWS,ย Azure, orย Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
