About this role

Overview

We're hiring Senior CNC Machinists for our precision machine shop serving the aerospace, defense, medical, and semiconductor industries.

You'll hold extremely tight tolerances on stainless steel and aluminum components, running everything from 2 and 3-axis horizontal lathes to 3, 4, and 5-axis mills. Whether you're a dedicated CNC Mill specialist, a CNC Lathe specialist, or a versatile machinist who runs both, there's a spot for you here.

Why Join Us

  • Unlimited Overtime: Optional OT plus Sunday double-time. A real path to $100k / yr
  • New Ownership: Now part of an aerospace and defense startup investing in technology
  • Ground-Floor Build: Help build a shop making its name in defense aerospace

Compensation

  • $35 – $40 / hr
  • Unlimited optional overtime
  • $100k+ / yr (with overtime)
  • Double-time pay on Sundays

First Shift

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday

What You'll Run

  • CNC Mills: 3, 4, and 5-axis
  • CNC Lathes: 2 and 3-axis horizontal
  • Controls: Fanuc, with machine-side G-code edits
  • Materials: Stainless steel and aluminum, held to tight aerospace tolerances

You can specialize in mills, specialize in lathes, or run both — any of the three works for us. Hardinge, Doosan, or Swiss-style lathe experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Setups: Independently set up 3–5-axis mills and/or 2–3-axis lathes.
  • Blueprints & GD&T: Interpret complex prints and work instructions to run jobs unsupervised.
  • Tooling & Offsets: Select tooling, establish work and tool offsets, prep machines.
  • G-code Edits: Make machine-side program adjustments and offset corrections on Fanuc controls.
  • First Articles: Prove out first parts before releasing the job to production.
  • In-Process Inspection: Verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bore gauges.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years CNC setup experience on mills and/or lathes
  • Independent setups through production without direct supervision
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
  • G-code fluency with hands-on Fanuc experience
  • Machine-side program edits and offset corrections
  • Proven ability to hold tight tolerances
  • Proficiency with manual inspection tools, not just digital gauges

Preferred

  • Aerospace, defense, medical, or semiconductor machining experience
  • Hardinge, Doosan, or Swiss-style CNC lathe experience
  • Dual capability on both milling and turning centers
  • Medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k) + match
  • PTO
