As Senior Director of International Advisory Services and Affiliations, you will play an integral leadership role in directing Advisory Services Operations (ASO) projects, processes, teams, and strategic relationships that support the execution of international Cleveland Clinic Connected affiliations and non-branded advisory engagements. You will lead Cleveland Clinic International and Emerging Markets (IEM) efforts to establish, develop, and execute complex international projects and strategic initiatives. Leveraging strong strategic and operational leadership, you will oversee multiple areas within IEM’s ASO, including strategic planning, tactical deployment, project development, infrastructure development, and service integration. You will lead complex international engagements and relationships, establish standardized practices and scalable operating models, build, manage, and develop a high-performing teams of caregivers within ASO and across international markets to advance organizational priorities, strengthen international partnerships, and achieve sustainable impact.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Directs IEM Advisory Service Operations’ projects/processes/relationships.
  • Responsible for an advisory service offering within the SO (e.g., deployment, execution, integration, and transactions) which will include leading complex projects/relationships, developing standardized practices/processes, and managing/leading teams of caregivers within the ASO.
  • Leads multiple, major, complex projects and/or relationships involving cross-functional stakeholders within/outside of IEM.
  • Performs variety of functions within those projects, including but not limited to:  facilitation of client engagements, designing and conducting complex analytics, problem solving, crafting client deliverables, setting and driving goals and timelines, developing and executing implementation plans.
  • Manages these projects/relationships to deliver high-quality outcomes on-time and on-budget.
  • Manages teams of caregivers in execution of projects/management of relationships. Teams include IEM members and caregivers/executives outside of IEM (and potentially outside CC) of all levels and capabilities.
  • Develops IEM ASO toolkit/perspective on area of expertise including: conceptual framework, standardized analytics, standardized project management/processes, tools/templates, and training.
  • Builds relationships with executives (and clients) on their projects/relationships, influences as a partner and helps guide decision-making, as well as project execution.
  • Responsible for IEM ASO caregivers, manage the recruiting, hiring/onboarding, performance management, evaluation, engagement, and mentorship of those individuals.
  • Responsible for major IEM ASO internal projects that help set ASO agenda, improve team effectiveness/engagement, improve people processes, skill-build, etc.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree business, Health Care Administration, or related field and 15 years of work experience, with majority of time in healthcare management and services
  • Senior-level hospital leadership, with history of achievement and ability to influence operational change in large organizations (including external clients)
  • Extensive experience and knowledge within healthcare industry/provider operations of specific technical skills (e.g. project development, LEAN transformation, strategic transaction management, or service implementation), with deep enough expertise to conceptualize approaches, frame strategic plans, and execute deliverables
  • Capable of leading broad set of executives/clients through a complex problem-solving process and inspiring teams of caregivers to achieve results; accountability for IEM advisory service culture.
  • Ability to structure and guide complex assessments/analytics to support project/engagement needs and build relationships with senior executives and provide critical thought partnership on intellectual/organizational/commercial exercises.
  • Capable of developing and writing complex presentations for any audience using multiple formats; strong presenter/facilitator with senior executive presence.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Master’s Degree or MBA
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • LEAN Six Sigma (LSS) certification
  • Prior healthcare consulting experience with major firms (e.g. Accenture, McKinsey, PWC, etc.)
  • Background in senior clinical operations, expert or consultative role (within organization or consulting)
