In Short

This is a great opportunity to join one of the world's fastest-growing sports brands as the Senior Finance Lead for our Oceania Market!

In this role, you will act as the ultimate finance business partner to our commercial and operations teams in our Oceania Market. You will provide professional finance and controlling support to drive premium, omnichannel growth, managing everything from financial budgeting and planning to strategic business case simulations and commercial negotiations.

Meet the Team

As you might expect from a sports brand with running at its core, the APAC Finance team at On is a fast-paced, high-energy place to be. You will be part of a highly motivated, collaborative regional finance team working out of our regional hubs, all sharing a common goal: premium growth.

This role is based in Melbourne and reports directly to the Regional CFO, while collaborating closely with regional controlling, regional accounting/tax, and Oceania leadership.

Your Mission (Job Responsibilities)

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Partner closely with sub-regional commercial, retail, e-commerce, and operations leadership to provide proactive financial insights that safeguard market-level profitability and unlock growth.
  • Financial Budgeting, Planning & Forecasting: Lead the end-to-end financial forecasting and planning processes from Omnichannel view for the Oceania markets and potentially other emerging new markets in APAC.
  • Performance & Management Reporting: Deliver monthly management reporting packages that provide clear visibility into topline achievements, channel margins, and cost variances for regional leadership and consolidation by the regional controlling team.
  • Expansion & Commercial Simulations: Perform financial modeling, margin simulations, and pro-forma P&L analyses to evaluate new store locations, e-commerce platform expansions, or business market transformation.
  • Regional Projects Supports: Support the regional CFO across a different range of regional projects including AI and Automation.
  • Cost & Capex Control: Monitor, analyze, and control market-driven costs (SG&A, retail capex, and marketing ROI) in close alignment with the regional controlling team to ensure disciplined resource allocation.
  • Financial Acumen Champion: Act as an enabler, educating and elevating the financial acumen of local business teams to ensure data-driven decision-making across the board.
  • Compliance, Internal Controls & Risk Management: Serve as the local guardian of financial integrity and compliance. Work hand-in-hand with regional accounting, tax, legal, and IT teams to ensure robust internal controls (SOX readiness) and smooth legal entity setups in new markets.
