You will work at the intersection of academic complexity and intuitive product design, translating the needs of administrators, faculty, and students into features that genuinely transform how institutions operate. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, customer success, and sales to deliver a product that resonates with institutions across India and beyond.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the product roadmap for the Academics vertical — covering attendance, timetabling, curriculum, course registration, class creation, LMS, feedback, surveys, and PhD/research modules.
  • Prioritise features and enhancements by synthesising customer feedback, usage analytics, and institutional trends in higher education.
  • Balance short-term customer requests with long-term platform vision, ensuring decisions align with Digii’s growth objectives.
  • Conduct regular discovery sessions with academic administrators, faculty, and students across partner institutions to surface pain points and unmet needs.
  • Analyse product usage data, support tickets, and market signals to identify gaps and new product opportunities within the academics vertical.
  • Partner with customer success and sales teams to bring the voice of the customer into every sprint and planning cycle.
  • Translate complex academic workflows into clear, actionable PRDs and user stories that engineering and design teams can execute on with confidence.
  • Drive agile ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives — ensuring the team ships high-quality releases on time.
  • Coordinate cross-functional launches with design, engineering, QA, and go-to-market teams to ensure smooth feature rollouts.
  • Monitor adoption, engagement, and outcome metrics post-launch and iterate rapidly based on data and user feedback.
  • Own and maintain a well-groomed product backlog, ensuring the most impactful work is alwaysprioritised.
  • Act as the primary product contact for academics module stakeholders — internally (sales, CS, engineering) and externally (institutional admins and faculty).
  • Communicate product progress, roadmap priorities, and release timelines clearly and regularly to leadership and cross-functional peers.

Requirements

Must Haves

  • 4–6 years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS or education technology, with a strong track record of shipping B2B SaaS products end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to own a product vertical independently — from discovery and roadmap definition to execution and post-launch iteration.
  • Strong understanding of academic workflows in higher education — including timetabling, curriculum management, LMS, attendance, and student lifecycle processes.
  • Data-driven decision-making: comfortable with product analytics tools and translating metrics into product improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams around a shared product vision.
  • Hands-on experience working in agile environments, running sprint ceremonies, and managing product backlogs.

Good to Have

  • Prior experience working with Indian higher education institutions — universities, deemed universities, or autonomous colleges.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, or proprietary platforms) and academic ERP systems.
  • Experience with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
  • Experience collaborating with customer-facing teams (sales, support, customer success) to gather and action institutional feedback.
  • Passion for the education sector and a genuine interest in improving outcomes for students and institutions.
