We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) through the consolidation and integration of manufacturing operations across our U.S. footprint.
This role will have primary responsibility for coordinating the transition of manufacturing operations from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Rochester, New York, ensuring the transformation is executed safely, effectively, and in alignment with business objectives.
This highly visible and complex initiative requires a leader with demonstrated experience in manufacturing transformation, operational and facility consolidation, production transitions, organizational change, and systems integration.
The Senior Project Manager will lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations, Engineering, HR, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, HSE, and other functions to deliver a future-ready manufacturing footprint while maintaining business continuity, customer commitments, and operational performance throughout the transition.
The successful candidate will bring strong project governance, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage multiple interconnected workstreams in a dynamic and highly confidential environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target Operating Model (TOM) Implementation: Lead the design, planning, and execution of the future-state manufacturing Target Operating Model (TOM), translating strategic objectives into clearly defined workstreams, milestones, ownership, and deliverables. Identify, define, and implement new or enhanced processes where required to support the future-state operating model, operational effectiveness, scalability, and long-term business requirements. Β
- Manufacturing Operations Consolidation: Lead and coordinate the transition and integration of manufacturing operations from Milwaukee to Rochester, including facility and layout optimization, production line and equipment relocation, process alignment, operational readiness, and knowledge-transfer activities while maintaining business continuity and customer commitments throughout the transition.
- HR and Organizational Change Management: Partner with HR and business leadership to support the people and organizational aspects of the transformation, including new organizational structures, role mapping, communications, training, knowledge transfer, and engagement and change-adoption strategies, ensuring people-related activities and dependencies are effectively integrated into the overall project plan.
- Systems and Technology Enablement: Partner with IT, business systems, and functional teams to coordinate technology requirements associated with the operational transition, including ERP, manufacturing systems, infrastructure, data migration, and related digital transformation initiatives, ensuring systems dependencies are integrated into the overall transition plan and support business continuity.
- Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the central point of coordination for the transformation, driving alignment across senior leadership, site leadership, functional teams, project workstreams, and external partners while establishing clear governance, decision-making, escalation, and communication processes.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Manage relationships with external architects, engineers, equipment suppliers, contractors, consultants, and other partners supporting the transformation, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timelines, specifications, safety requirements, and confidentiality standards.
- Financial and Timeline Governance: Develop and maintain the integrated project plan, budget, resource requirements, dependencies, and master schedule, partnering with Finance and functional leaders to monitor expenditures, forecasts, commitments, scope changes, and overall project performance.
- Risk, Quality, Safety and Compliance Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage operational, organizational, technology, supply chain, financial, safety, quality, and regulatory risks, establishing appropriate mitigation and contingency plans and ensuring project deliverables meet applicable standards and requirements.
- Reporting and Performance Tracking: Develop and maintain project dashboards, KPI tracking, executive reporting, milestone reviews, and risk reporting, providing regular, accurate, and confidential updates to leadership on project progress, financial performance, key decisions, dependencies, risks, and corrective actions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive project or program management experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading manufacturing or facility consolidations, site transfers, operational integrations, or other large-scale operational transformation programs.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site programs involving multiple interdependent workstreams.
- Experience implementing Target Operating Models (TOM) or comparable business transformation frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience supporting organizational change and change-management activities within complex transformation programs.
- Experience with manufacturing technology and systems integration, including ERP, MES, or related business systems.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing significant project budgets, forecasts, and business cases.
- Strong leadership and influencing capabilities, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and executive stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable project/program management certification preferred.
Knowledge and practical application of Lean and Agile methodologies and tools, including Kaizen, structured problem solving, and root cause analysis, preferred. Β
Experience utilizing Power BI and data analytics to track project and operational performance, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making, preferred.Β
- Experience with project management, transformation, and reporting tools preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately twice per month, primarily between U.S. operational locations, with additional travel during critical project phases as required.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple sites, functions, and levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive business and organizational information with discretion and professionalism.
- Willingness to sign and strictly adhere to all applicable confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements.
- Flexibility to support critical project activities outside standard working hours when required by operational or project milestones.
