About the role

12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Melbourne Based | Hybrid Office

Join AGL's Energy Markets & Treasury Risk (EMTR) team, where you'll help shape the future of risk management in a rapidly evolving energy landscape. EMTR provides independent oversight of the risks associated with AGL's trading and treasury activities, helping protect shareholder value while supporting strategic growth and the energy transition.

As the Senior Risk Solutions Lead, you will play a key role in delivering technology and transformation initiatives across the Risk Architecture & Solutions portfolio. Working closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Technology teams and external vendors, you'll lead the delivery of scalable risk solutions, data products, dashboards and reporting capabilities that enhance decision-making across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine delivery leadership, data and analytics, and innovative technologies including AI and automation to modernise risk management capabilities and drive meaningful business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Drive end-to-end delivery of high-impact risk technology and transformation initiatives, from planning and solution design through to implementation and business adoption.

• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business priorities into scalable solutions, delivery roadmaps and measurable outcomes.

• Lead the development of dashboards, reporting solutions and data products that enhance risk insights, decision-making and operational transparency across the business.

• Drive adoption of leading technologies including Power BI, Databricks, automation and AI to improve reporting, analytics and self-service capabilities.

• Manage vendors, cross-functional delivery teams, risks and governance requirements to ensure successful, secure and high-quality solution outcomes.

About you:

• Proven experience delivering complex technology, data and transformation initiatives within risk, trading, energy, treasury or financial services environments.

• Strong data, analytics and visualisation capability, with hands-on expertise in Power BI, Databricks, SQL, dashboard development and modern data platforms.

• Ability to lead solution delivery from concept to implementation, balancing business, technology, integration, performance and governance requirements.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

• Strong understanding of risk, trading or energy market environments, with knowledge of market, credit and operational risk frameworks and a passion for supporting the energy transition.
